Nowadays, both desktop and laptop computers have become computers that fulfill several functions and one of them is to serve as a trunk for enormous amounts of information. The data stored varies greatly, it can be documents, photographs, videos or all of this together.

The devices that are responsible for storing this information are hard drives and, unfortunately, they are not infallible nor are we infallible when it comes to making backup copies or keeping everything in such a rigorous order that it allows us to always have everything under control and with a millimeter order.

Losing a video of an important moment is the order of the day and can happen at any time. There are countless situations that are conducive to this happening, such as hard drive failures, accidental deletions, power surges that affect components, and even hits to hard drives.

These situations are common and must be faced with the appropriate programs. Tenorshare has a tool created exclusively to recover data from the hard drive. We are talking about 4DDiG, which is capable of recovering various types of files, although we will focus on videos. You can also hire specialist for your hard drive data recovery near me.

Recover files the traditional way using CMD

Windows has a way to recover files in case you do not want to use a specific tool, what happens is that the steps are quite complex and, in truth, the result is not usually the best in all situations. The first thing you are going to need is the command console called CMD.

To appear on the screen you have to press the Windows key + R, after this you will have to write CMD in the search section and the application will automatically launch. Now you will have to write chkdsk E: /f and press Enter. Of course, it is important that the letter ‘E’ be replaced by the drive letter of the disk you want to scan.

The next thing is to accept what appears in the CMD and to do this you have to press Y together with the Enter key. From here, confirmation will be requested of the unit in which the content will be searched. We will assume that the disk is E and therefore we would have to write E and press the Enter key. If the drive is not E, you will have to change the letter to the corresponding drive.

The last step is to write the following: E: \>attrib -h -h -r -s /s /d *. and press Enter. We remember that drive ‘E’ is an example and you must replace the letter with that of the disk where you want to search for the lost information. After this, all that remains is to wait for the folder to be generated with the files that have been lost.

Recovering video data files from hard drive has never been easier

The process that is executed when recovering hard drive data is not only compatible with Windows computers, it can also be done with computers signed by Apple. Furthermore, the complication is minimal, since the process is practically identical to the one we explained at the beginning.

The only thing you have to keep in mind is that the tool to download and install is the version intended for computers with macOS. So with this precaution you can recover deleted videos without any problem or even recover a damaged hard drive.

4DDiG is a lifesaving tool that is capable of doing absolutely any type of information recovery on internal or external hard drives without requiring any knowledge of the subject.

Until a few years ago, the only way to recover files was by using the command console in Windows and, therefore, this was quite complex for many users. This is over thanks to Tenorshare and its tool called 4DDiG.
